Najran, October 4, 2024 – The opening day of the 4th Saudi Camel Racing Federation (SCRF) Cup in Najran witnessed an impressive showcase of skill and competition, as Saudi camel owners dominated all four cups awarded. The event, which celebrates the rich cultural heritage of camel racing in the Kingdom, attracted significant attention and participation.
SCRF Vice President Mohammed Albalawi presented awards to the standout competitors at the Najran camel racing track. Saad Al-Marri secured the top spot with an impressive time of 4:25:245, followed closely by Thamer Al-Saadoun, who claimed second place with a time of 4:31:018. Mohammed Al-Karbi rounded out the top three, finishing with a commendable time of 4:30:440. The intense competition featured 36 rounds, showcasing the agility and endurance of a remarkable total of 1,194 camels.
Looking ahead, tomorrow's competition promises to maintain the excitement, with 30 rounds planned, each covering a distance of 4 kilometers.
