Riyadh, February 26, 2025 – Saudi Camel Sports celebrated the country’s Founding Day with a series of exciting events held at five prominent locations throughout Riyadh, showcasing the rich heritage and evolution of camel sports. The festivities took place from February 21 to 26, with the highlight being a partnership with the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve for an impactful environmental initiative at Rawdat Khuraim.

The celebrations spanned several key cultural and historical sites, drawing large crowds eager to witness the blend of tradition, sport, and environmental consciousness. These venues included the picturesque King Abdulaziz Park, the aviation-themed Saqr Al Jazeera Aviation Museum, and the UNESCO World Heritage site of At-Turaif District’s Salwa Palace. Each location offered its own unique setting to experience the beauty of Saudi Arabia’s cultural and sporting heritage.

In addition to camel racing displays, which captivated visitors with thrilling exhibitions of speed and skill, the events also featured a diverse array of cultural activities. These included live demonstrations of traditional camel-related sports, as well as educational sessions that provided valuable insights into the history and significance of camel racing, a beloved sport deeply rooted in Saudi Arabian tradition.

The environmental initiative at Rawdat Khuraim was another key aspect of the celebration, reflecting the strong commitment of Saudi Camel Sports to preserving the natural beauty of the Kingdom. Through this collaboration with the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve, the initiative aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation and the importance of sustainable practices in maintaining Saudi Arabia’s unique landscapes.

The grand celebration concluded today at the Public Prosecution headquarters, marking a fitting end to a week of cultural, educational, and environmentally conscious events. The series of activities not only honored the rich legacy of camel sports but also showcased the dynamic evolution of the sport, ensuring its continued place in Saudi Arabia’s cultural and sporting future.
