Riyadh, August 15, 2023, In a significant development, the Saudi Conventions and Exhibitions General Authority (SCEGA) and the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing have joined forces today, signing a crucial agreement. This agreement aims to bolster collaboration between the two entities, with a specific focus on enhancing the provision of technical and rehabilitation consultation. Additionally, it seeks to elevate the overall quality of specialized local exhibitions, a key aspect of the country's thriving exhibition industry. In a momentous event, the Acting CEO of SCEGA, Amjad bin Issam Shaker, and the Undersecretary for City Operators Regulation at the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing, Eng. Faisal bin Hussein Al-Saqqar, came together to sign a significant cooperation agreement. In a groundbreaking development, an agreement has been reached with the objective of designating exhibition organizers as contractors responsible for the execution of government initiatives pertaining to business events. In its pursuit of progress, the initiative also seeks to bolster the readiness and refinement of protocols and benchmarks for the rehabilitation stage of these designated contractors. Furthermore, it aims to streamline the sharing of electronic information and the provision of technical assistance.
