Riyadh, August 29, 2023, The World Championship in Fire and Rescue Sport will begin on August 31 and run through September 6 in the Republic of Turkiye, and the Saudi delegation of the Civil Defense Team left for that country today. To demonstrate the technical and physical prowess of the civil defense professionals, the Saudi Civil Defense Team competes in championship events. In order to simulate the physically demanding nature of firefighting and rescue work, they will compete in ladder climbing races to the top floors of the training tower, leaping over 100-meter hurdles, relaying a 100-meter fire, and battling fire.
