Riyadh, February 29, 2024, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia has strongly condemned and denounced the targeting of defenseless civilians in the northern Gaza Strip. The tragic incident resulted in the death of dozens and the injury of hundreds due to the bombing of humanitarian aid queues by the occupation forces in Gaza.

Saudi Arabia expressed its categorical rejection of violations of international humanitarian law by any party, underlining its commitment to condemning such actions under any pretext. The Kingdom reiterated its call on the international community to take a firm stance, urging Israel to respect international humanitarian law.

The ministry emphasized the urgent need for Israel to immediately open safe humanitarian corridors, facilitate the evacuation of the injured, and enable the delivery of aid and medical equipment without restrictions. This collective effort is crucial to mitigate the humanitarian catastrophe and prevent its further deterioration.

Saudi Arabia highlighted the necessity of achieving an immediate ceasefire to prevent additional innocent civilian casualties and underscored the importance of international intervention to address the situation and uphold the principles of humanitarian law.
