Saudi Crown Prince meets Indian Prime Minister to discuss cooperation and regional issues

New Delhi, September 11, 2023, The Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi today at Hyderabad House in New Delhi to go over relationships and cooperation in various fields as well as regional and global issues of shared interest. Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Musaed Al-Aiban, the Minister of State and Cabinet Member and National Security Adviser, Majid Al-Qassabi, Mohammed Al-Jadaan, the Minister of Finance, and Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz were present at the meeting. HRH the Crown Prince thanked the president for the warm welcome at the Saudi-Indian Strategic Partnership Council that he later attended. He emphasized the long-standing ties India has with the Arab world, particularly Saudi Arabia, and the collaboration that helps the two sides build a brighter future.

There has never been a disagreement in the history of this relationship, but there is undoubtedly cooperation to forge opportunities and build the future for our two nations, HRH the Crown Prince said. He also expressed the hope that the items and promising goals on the agenda of the Saudi-Indian Strategic Partnership Council will be realized through cooperation across all spheres of society.

HRH the Crown Prince complimented the Indian government for "managing the G20 file" and the G20 initiatives, many of which "have become a reality through our hard work and dedication," such as the development of the economic corridor connecting India, the Middle East, and Europe.

In addition, he praised the Indian community—which makes up 7% of Saudi Arabia's population—for its substantial contribution to the country's economic expansion, noting that "we consider them a part of us. We intend to fulfill the objectives of our people through this council.

The Indian prime minister expressed his eagerness to deepen his country's collaboration with Saudi Arabia in a number of areas.

The minutes of the Saudi-Indian Strategic Partnership Council were signed by HRH the Crown Prince and the Indian Prime Minister.

The Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz; the Minister of the Interior, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah; the Minister of State, member of the Cabinet, and National Security Adviser, Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban; the Minister of Commerce, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi; and

Later, a luncheon was hosted by the Indian prime minister in honor of HRH the Crown Prince.
