Barcelona, November 07, 2023, The Smart City Expo World Congress kicked off in Barcelona, Spain, from November 7th to 9th, with the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) taking a prominent role as a global partner for the event. Over 1,000 participants from more than 140 countries, representing over 800 cities, convened at the congress, accompanied by over 600 experts, resulting in a gathering of more than 25,000 attendees.
SDAIA's involvement in the event encompasses two significant tracks. The first track focuses on the main sessions of the congress, where Saudi Arabia showcases its experience in digital transformation and smart city development, highlighting SDAIA's contributions to these initiatives. The second track features a dedicated pavilion at the congress, showcasing various sections, including the Smart Riyadh Operations Center and the National Smart Cities Platform, while also presenting digital platform demonstrations.
