The diplomatic encounter commenced with Prince Khalid's inscription in the official visitors' book.

Among the distinguished attendees on the Saudi side were Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Ambassador to the U.S.; Dr. Khalid bin Hussein Al-Bayari, Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs; Mohammed bin Saeed Al Jaber, the Saudi Ambassador to Yemen; and Hisham bin Abdulaziz bin Saif, the Director General of the Minister of Defense's Office.
