Riyadh, Mar 15, 2024, A delegation comprising representatives from various entities within Saudi Arabia's industry and mineral resources sector recently participated in PDAC 2024, held in Toronto, Canada, as part of the "Invest Saudi" initiative. The Saudi delegation made a notable presence at the renowned World’s Premier Mineral Exploration & Mining Convention.
Leading the Saudi delegation were Eng. Abdullah Al-Shamrani, the CEO of the Saudi Geological Survey; Eng. Ali Al-Amoudi, the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Resources; and Abdulrahman Al-Balushi, the Assistant Undersecretary for Mining Empowerment.
During the event, the Saudi delegation engaged in constructive meetings with prominent delegations from Canada, the Czech Republic, and the Republic of Ecuador. These meetings were part of a series of 85 scheduled meetings with officials from various countries and international companies participating in PDAC 2024.
Furthermore, the Saudi delegation organized three informative sessions during their visit, including two in Toronto and one in Montreal. These sessions aimed to showcase Saudi Arabia's rich geology and highlight the promising investment opportunities available within its mining sector. The sessions were attended by over 300 representatives from Canadian and international mining companies, providing a platform to discuss potential collaborations and investments in the Kingdom's mining industry.
