Abuja, February 15, 2024, A delegation from the Saudi-Nigerian Parliamentary Friendship Committee of the Shura Council, led by Dr. Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Salamah, council member and acting chairman of the committee, convened on Wednesday in Abuja for discussions with Benjamin Kalu, the Deputy Speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives. This meeting was a key component of the official visit by the Saudi Shura Council delegation to the Republic of Nigeria.
During the encounter, Deputy Speaker Kalu warmly welcomed the Saudi delegation, highlighting the Kingdom's esteemed position among Muslims worldwide and expressing gratitude to Riyadh for hosting the Saudi-African Summit. He also emphasized the significance of enhancing bilateral relations between Nigeria and Saudi Arabia across all domains.
In response, Dr. Al-Salamah affirmed the delegation's commitment to fostering stronger ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Federal Republic of Nigeria, with a keen focus on advancing mutual interests.
