Tokyo, January 15, 2024, A delegation from Saudi Arabia, led by Saad Al-Kasabi, the Governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization (SASO), is currently in Tokyo, Japan. The visit aims to bolster trade relations between the two countries and foster cooperation in ensuring product safety.
During the visit, Al-Kasabi engaged in meetings with Japanese officials representing both public and private sectors. The discussions centered around avenues for enhancing cooperation, sharing expertise in product safety and conformity, and addressing challenges faced by Japanese exporters and manufacturers in the Saudi market.
As part of the visit, a workshop was conducted to showcase the Saudi experience in product safety. The workshop also served as a platform to initiate communication with international manufacturers and exporters. Moreover, it aimed to raise awareness about Saudi standard specifications, technical regulations, and conformity verification procedures, with the overarching goal of strengthening partnerships between Saudi Arabia and Japan in the realm of product safety and quality. Such initiatives contribute to fostering robust trade relations and ensuring the well-being of consumers in both countries.
