Riyadh, March 24, 2025 – Saudi Arabia’s poultry sector has achieved full self-sufficiency in table egg production, with output exceeding 8 billion eggs by 2024, according to the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture. The Ministry noted that the Kingdom's egg production not only satisfies domestic demand but also generates a surplus, strengthening national food security. Eggs remain a crucial part of the diet, widely consumed in daily meals and various culinary preparations.

The ministry has introduced strategies to enhance production, maintain growth, support investment in the poultry sector, and localize the industry. These initiatives include offering incentives for new projects, expanding existing farms, and creating job opportunities for nationals. The ministry also emphasized its dedication to improving food quality, safety, and availability in local markets.
