Saudi Embassy in Cairo Releases Statement Regarding Citizen's Disappearance

The Saudi embassy in Egypt released a statement about a Saudi national, Hattan bin Ghazi Shatta, who went missing in Cairo.

In Cairo, Saudi national Hattan bin Ghazi Shatta disappeared and this led to the Saudi embassy in Egypt issuing a statement about it.


Following custom, the embassy contacted Egyptian security officers as soon as he disappeared.


Security services are actively searching for him and investigating the situation using surveillance camera footage of his exit from his flat. The embassy is assisting the family and monitoring the investigation.



It is Cairo, May 31, 2024. The Saudi Embassy in Egypt released a statement today on Hattan bin Ghazi Shatta, a Saudi national who was last seen in Cairo. The embassy asserted that it initiated its routines and contacted Egyptian security personnel on the day following the citizen's disappearance. Further, the embassy said that the security personnel immediately started the search for the person and investigation about the circumstances of his kidnapping through the CCTV cameras available to them. That was captured on camera as he left from his house in El Khames, New Cairo, El Tagamo. The embassy said that it coordinates with the family of the missing person and is keeping a check on the inquiry of the security agencies.
