Saudi Embassy in Thailand launches Ramadan dates and Iftar program in Korea

Seoul, March 15, 2024, The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, represented by the religious attaché at the Saudi embassy in the Kingdom of Thailand, initiated today the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Gift Programs for Distributing Dates and Iftar during Ramadan in the Republic of Korea.

The launch event was graced by the presence of Fahd Barakah, the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Saudi embassy in Seoul, as well as Sheikh Abdurrahman Lee, Head of the Korean Muslims Union and Imam of the Central Mosque, along with leaders of Islamic societies in the Republic of Korea.

Under this program, three tons of dates will be distributed, benefiting 5,000 Muslims in the Republic of Korea. This initiative is part of a larger endeavor, with a total of 500 tons of dates set to be disseminated during this year's Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Gift Programs for Distributing Dates and Iftar, alongside the organization of Iftar banquets in 60 countries worldwide.
