Riyadh, December 07, 2023, The Saudi Esports Federation, in collaboration with the Global Esports Federation, has unveiled the details of the competitions for the 2023 Global Esports Games (GEG) event, which Riyadh will host from December 12 to 16. The event will take place at the headquarters of the Saudi eLeague, bringing together more than 250 players from over 50 countries.
The GEG 2023 championship is set to combine esports and traditional sports, incorporating the latest technological advancements. It aims to provide the best entertainment, culture, and gaming community experience under the hashtag #worldconnected. The championship will feature various competitions in popular esports titles such as "Dota 2," "eFootball™ 2024," "PUBG MOBILE," and "Street Fighter 6."
The "Dota 2" competition, known for its strategic gameplay, will kick off on December 12, featuring eight elite international teams. The "Street Fighter 6" competition will commence on the same day, and the "eFootball™ 2024" competition will begin on December 13. Additionally, GEG 2023 will host the "PUBG MOBILE" competition for the first time on December 14 and 15.
Alongside the esports competitions, the Saudi Esports Federation will also host the Global Esports Federation's global convention, GEFcon, on December 12. GEFcon brings together leaders in esports and traditional sports to discuss the latest technological advancements, business systems, and academic environments, aiming to shape the future of the esports sector. Speakers from the Saudi Esports Federation and the Global Esports Federation will engage in discussions on building a sustainable and healthier sports world characterized by diversity, inclusivity, and innovation.
