Saudi Falcons Club, King Saud University Sign Memorandum of Cooperation


On October 10, 2024, in Riyadh, the Saudi Falcons Club and King Saud University formalized a significant partnership by signing a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at preserving the cultural, heritage, and environmental legacy of falcons. This agreement focuses on utilizing scientific research in biotechnology to enhance understanding and support for activities related to falconry.


The memorandum was signed by Ahmed Al-Hababi, Deputy Chief Executive of the Saudi Falcons Club, and Dr. Yazeed Al-Sheikh, Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies at King Saud University. The signing took place during the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition 2024, held at the club's headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh. The event was attended by numerous officials from both the club and the university, underscoring the importance of this collaboration.


This cooperation establishes a robust framework for future agreements and initiatives between the two entities, centered on projects that promote scientific, cultural, and civilizational exchange related to falcons. The memorandum outlines plans to implement a series of awareness-raising and training programs focused on falcons and falconry. Additionally, it aims to attract and encourage investors interested in the falconry sector through specialized courses and workshops designed to enhance knowledge and skills in this traditional practice.
