Milan, September 20, 2023, Today, the Saudi Fashion Commission launched its second pop-up event, EMERGE, a global initiative that showcases the creative and emerging talents in Saudi fashion. The pop-up shop will be open in Milan from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 10 Corso Como. Burak Cakmak, CEO of the Fashion Commission, said in a statement, "The first EMERGE pop-up that we held in Paris was a huge success and attracted visitors from different cultures who had an authentic Saudi shopping experience and discovered what Saudi creative talent has to offer. I look forward to welcoming visitors to Milan Fashion Week to introduce them to the Saudi fashion world." Thirteen designers participating in the Saudi 100 Brands program showcase an array of ready-to-wear garments and elegant accessories inspired by the rich and diverse layers of Saudi culture and heritage, providing visitors with an international purchasing experience.
The Saudi 100 Brands initiative, introduced in 2021 by the Saudi Fashion Commission, is a professional development program that assists emerging local talent in reaching its maximum potential by providing international exposure to its participants.
The Fashion Commission hosted the pop-up for the first time during Paris Fashion Week, and it was a huge success, attracting over 2,000 visitors from 30 countries.
