Riyadh, November 23, 2023, The CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, Dr. Hisham Aljadhey, convened with the Minister of Trade and Export Promotion of the Republic of Algeria, Tayeb Zitouni, at the authority's headquarters in Riyadh today. The meeting centered on fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange in the realms of industrial control, local product trade, import regulations, and the monitoring of the halal industry.
Recognizing the importance of effective communication channels between supervisory and regulatory authorities, both parties underscored the need to strengthen these links to enhance economic and trade relations between Saudi Arabia and Algeria.
During their discussions, Aljadhey and Zitouni delved into potential areas of cooperation and knowledge transfer, specifically focusing on regulation, oversight, and investment support in the production and trade of food and pharmaceutical products within the respective countries.
