Saudi Film Commission joins 74th Berlin International Film Festival

Riyadh, February 12, 2024, The Saudi Film Commission is set to make a significant appearance at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival, slated to take place from February 15 to 25 in Berlin. The commission's involvement underscores its commitment to showcasing the Kingdom's strides in bolstering the film industry, fostering local talent, and positioning Saudi Arabia as a premier global destination for filmmaking.

Participating in such prestigious international festivals forms a crucial component of the Kingdom's overarching efforts to elevate its cinematic landscape. The Saudi Film Commission's presence at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival will be complemented by collaborations with esteemed partners such as Film AlUla, the Cultural Development Fund, NEOM, the "Invest Saudi" Initiative, the Red Sea International Film Festival, and the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra).

CEO of the Saudi Film Commission, Eng. Abdullah Al-Eyyaf, emphasized that the commission's participation transcends mere promotion of film production within the Kingdom. Rather, it serves as a platform to showcase Saudi Arabia's diverse and captivating filming locations to global producers. Moreover, the participation aims to shine a spotlight on local talent on the international stage, fostering cultural exchange, and highlighting the remarkable efforts and narratives within the Saudi film industry.
