On November 28, 2024, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah arrived in Kuwait to participate in the 162nd preparatory meeting for the 45th session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). This significant meeting marks an important step in preparing the agenda for the upcoming summit of GCC leaders, scheduled for Sunday in Kuwait.
Upon his arrival at Kuwait International Airport, Prince Faisal was warmly received by a distinguished delegation, including Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya, Saudi Ambassador to Kuwait Prince Sultan bin Saad bin Khalid, and the Secretary-General of the GCC, Jasem Albudaiwi. The 162nd preparatory meeting will play a critical role in finalizing the discussions and decisions that will be presented during the main summit.
The 45th session of the GCC Supreme Council, which will be attended by the heads of state from the six GCC countries, is expected to cover a wide range of political, economic, and security issues affecting the Gulf region.
