Under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the highly anticipated second edition of the Saudi Games is set to take place this year, from November 25 to December 10, in Riyadh.
Athletes from various disciplines will compete in a total of 53 individual and group games, including six Paralympic games, four show games, and 12 youth games. This event serves as a testament to the Kingdom's commitment to fostering sportsmanship and inclusivity.
Expressing gratitude and appreciation, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, Minister of Sports, President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and President of the Higher Organizing Committee of the Saudi Games 2023, thanked King Salman for his patronage. He emphasized that this support reflects the wise leadership's dedication to sports and their profound interest in athletes.
Prince Abdulaziz highlighted the significant contributions of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, expressing how their generous support has greatly improved the sports sector. Hosting the Saudi Games for the second consecutive year showcases the alignment of Saudi Vision 2030 in supporting Saudi individuals and building a generation capable of achieving international success for the Kingdom.
As the largest national sporting event in the history of the Kingdom, the Saudi Games offer athletes an opportunity to compete for awards exceeding SAR200 million. Winners of gold medals will receive SAR1 million, silver medalists SAR300,000, and bronze medalists SAR100,000. In the youth category, gold medal winners will be awarded SAR100,000, silver medalists SAR50,000, and bronze medal winners SAR25,000.
