On September 21, 2024, the torch for the third edition of the Saudi Games arrived in Najran as part of its promotional tour for the Kingdom's largest national sports event, set to take place in Riyadh from October 3 to 17. The Undersecretary of the Najran Region, Dr. Melfi Al-Oteibi, received the torch from Melfi bin Hussein Al-Mhiyah, the former director of the Youth Dorm. The torch was also carried at the Historic Emirate Palace by Mona Shahab, the second Saudi woman to summit both Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Everest, who is also a board member of the Saudi Swimming Federation. The tour featured King Fahd Park, a key tourist attraction in Najran, where karate fighter Huwaig Ali, who earned second place in the under-11 combat category at the 2020 Kingdom Championship, carried the torch, followed by Muhammad Awad Al-Sai'eri, the former president of Sharurah Club.
