The Saudi General Court of Audit and the British National Audit Office met in London to discuss collaboration and expertise exchange in auditing and financial management.

On September 15, 2024, in London, representatives from the Saudi General Court of Audit (GCA) engaged with officials from the British National Audit Office (NAO) to discuss potential collaborations and knowledge sharing. The discussions covered a range of topics, including performance evaluation, financial audits, technical expertise, risk management strategies, and quality assurance practices, all aligned with global standards. Additionally, both parties examined the "value-for-money" approach throughout its lifecycle—from planning through to impact assessment—and addressed Saudi Arabia’s shift from cash-based to accrual-based accounting in the public sector. The GCA delegation also met with Gareth Davies, the Comptroller and Auditor General of the NAO, who underscored the importance of such interactions in advancing mutual efforts and exchanging expertise in accounting, auditing, and professional development, which will enhance performance in both institutions.
