Riyadh, January 31, 2024, The delegation of the Saudi-German Parliamentary Friendship Committee at the Shura Council, led by Council Member and Committee Chairman Hazza bin Bakr Al-Qahtani, conducted several meetings during their current visit to the Federal Republic of Germany.
Firstly, the delegation met with the Vice President of the German Parliament (Bundestag), Aydan Ozoguz. The discussions during the meeting focused on parliamentary relations between the Shura Council and the German Parliament, exploring ways to enhance them, and addressing various topics of common interest.
Subsequently, the council delegation held a meeting with Armin Laschet, a member of the German Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee. The discussions in this meeting centered around bilateral parliamentary relations and strategies for their enhancement across different fields.
In addition, the delegation engaged in a meeting with members of the German Parliament's Sports Committee, where they delved into the German experience in sports management. This exchange provided insights into sports-related matters and management practices.
Throughout their visit, the delegation had the opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the German parliamentary legislative system.
The Saudi-German Parliamentary Friendship Committee delegation includes Shura Council members Osama Al-Khayari, Princess Dr. Al-Jawhara bint Fahd Al-Saud, Dr. Ayoub Al-Jarbou, Dr. Sultan Almarshad, Dr. Latifa Al-Abdulkarim, and Dr. Muhammad Ashry.
