The Saudi Health Council’s 107th meeting, chaired by Minister Fahad bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, approved the Drug Dictionary system for drug coding and data exchange to enhance digital transformation in healthcare.

Riyadh, September 16, 2024, The Saudi Health Council held its 107th meeting on Sunday, chaired by the Minister of Health and Chairman of the Council, Fahad bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, at the General Secretariat's headquarters.


 The meeting included discussions on several agenda items and was attended by council members, including distinguished representatives from various health sectors and relevant organizations. During the session, the council approved the Drug Dictionary as a system for drug coding and mandated its use by health sectors for data exchange. This system is designed to enhance drug coding systems and their readiness, as well as provide highly efficient digital solutions to support the digital transformation process.


 The council also reviewed several local and international reports, including those on the sustainability and resilience of the healthcare system.
