On September 16, 2024, the Saudi Health Council convened for its 107th meeting, which was presided over by Fahad bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, the Minister of Health and Chairman of the Council. Held at the General Secretariat's headquarters, the session featured discussions on a range of agenda items and was attended by various distinguished representatives from the health sector and relevant organizations. Among the key outcomes, the council approved the implementation of the Drug Dictionary system for drug coding and mandated its adoption across health sectors for data exchange. This new system aims to advance drug coding practices and contribute to the digital transformation in healthcare. Additionally, the council reviewed numerous local and international reports, focusing on the sustainability and resilience of the healthcare system.
