Saudi informatics team wins three international prizes at 2023 IIOI

Szeged, September 04, 2023, At the 2023 International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), which was conducted in Hungary with the participation of 360 male and female students from 90 nations, the Saudi informatics team added three international prizes to the country's scientific record. Hamid Al-Hudhali, a secondary school student from the Eastern Governorate, won a bronze medal. Adeeb Al-Shehri, also from the same administrative region and educational level, received a certificate of appreciation. Issa Al-Mousa, a secondary school from Al-Ahsa Education, also received a certificate of appreciation. Dr. Amal Al-Hazzaa, Secretary-General of the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity, "Mawhiba," reaffirmed that this brilliance and accomplishment were made possible by the Almighty God's grace and the wise leadership's support. This will help the Kingdom's Vision 2030 goals be further attained as well as boost confidence in Saudi Arabia's abilities and energies to compete on a global scale.
The eight-day International Informatics Olympiad is held once a year and is aimed at gifted high school students from all around the world who are interested in informatics.
