Riyadh, February 03, 2024, The third edition of the Saudi International Marine Exhibition (SIMEC) is set to commence at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center. This three-day event, organized by the National Livestock and Fisheries Development Program, will host the participation of over 120 companies and approximately 3000 businessmen from both within and outside the Kingdom, representing 35 countries.
SIMEC aims to serve as an annual platform showcasing international expertise and the latest technologies in aquaculture, fisheries, and seafood industries. The exhibition provides a valuable opportunity to highlight investment prospects in the sector and facilitates engagement between business professionals and decision-makers in the Kingdom's fishery industry.
The event will feature more than 20 technical workshops with the participation of international speakers, companies, and universities. Memoranda of understanding between the National Livestock and Fisheries Development Program and local and international entities are also expected to be signed during SIMEC.
A unique feature of this edition is the "Chef of the Seas" competition, overseen by renowned international chefs and judges. Additionally, the "Master Class – Culinary Experience with the Chef" event will involve over 120 cooking enthusiasts showcasing seafood dishes using traditional and specific cooking methods. The program includes a business networking segment, and an exhibition featuring farmed fish products is also scheduled as part of the SIMEC event.
