Riyadh, November 20, 2023, The Federation of Saudi Chambers organized the Saudi-Irish Business Forum in Riyadh, bringing together key stakeholders to discuss investment opportunities and foster cooperation between the two countries. The forum, attended by Irish Minister of State for Business, Employment, and Retail Neale Richmond, focused on collaboration in aviation and human resources, leveraging Ireland's expertise in aviation and aerospace.
Richmond emphasized the positive state of Irish-Saudi relations at diplomatic and economic levels, expressing the interest of Irish companies in exploring investment opportunities in the Saudi market. He encouraged Saudi companies to consider investments in Ireland, particularly in aviation, airport infrastructure, and other sectors, highlighting the positive impact of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 on the region and the world.
Hassan Moejeb, Chairperson of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, highlighted the promising prospects for economic cooperation between the two countries, emphasizing the need for an integrated strategy to identify investment opportunities. The forum provided a platform for representatives from 80 Saudi and Irish companies to engage in discussions and explore potential partnerships.
In 2022, the trade volume between Saudi Arabia and Ireland reached SAR 5.3 billion, with SAR 75 million in Saudi exports and SAR 5.2 billion in Irish imports, underscoring the existing economic ties between the two nations.
