Saudi-Jordan Joint Committee begins 18th session in Riyadh

Riyadh, August 20, 2023, The highly anticipated 18th session of the Saudi-Jordanian Joint Committee kicked off today in the vibrant city of Riyadh. The event witnessed the esteemed presence of Saif bin Saad Al-Fakkar, the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport and Logistics for Sector Development, alongside Dana Al-Zoubi, the Secretary General of Jordan's Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply. In a recent statement, Al-Fakkar highlighted the significance of these sessions, stating that they are in line with the directives of the wise leadership. These sessions also serve as a concrete representation of the economic agreement that was signed between the two countries back in 1962 AD. It is worth noting that this agreement played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Saudi-Jordanian Joint Committee. The highly anticipated signing of these crucial agreements has been officially scheduled to take place during the ministerial meeting set to occur tomorrow. The activities of the Joint Committee primarily revolved around the completion of various agreement texts, memoranda of understanding (MoUs), protocols, and implementation programs. In an effort to bolster cooperation and overcome potential hurdles, a series of initiatives have been launched. These endeavors seek to create avenues for collaboration across various domains. The concerted efforts being made are expected to yield positive outcomes that will significantly enhance bilateral cooperation and foster closer collaboration between the two parties involved.
