Pristina, February 29, 2024, The Saudi-Kosovan Business Meeting kicked off in Pristina, the capital of Kosovo, attracting over 400 government officials and representatives from companies in both nations. A crucial agreement was signed during the meeting between the Federation of Saudi Chambers and the Kosova Chamber of Commerce, establishing a Saudi-Kosovan business council. The primary aim of this council is to boost trade and investments between Saudi Arabia and Kosovo, marking a new phase in their economic relationship.
Hassan Moejeb Al-Hwaizy, the chair of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, emphasized the importance of increasing the exchange of visits by trade delegations and sharing information about investment opportunities in both Saudi Arabia and Kosovo. The current trade exchange stands at USD 3.2 million. Al-Hwaizy expressed anticipation for the business council to enhance trade exchange and investments between the two countries.
Abdulrahman Al-Mofarreh, Chairman of the Saudi-Kosovan Business Council, highlighted that the visit to Pristina aims to strengthen commercial ties with the business sector in Kosovo, leveraging joint determination and available opportunities.
The meeting provided insights into investment opportunities and environments in both the Kingdom and Kosovo. Presentations were made on the "Invest Saudi" brand by the Ministry of Investment and the "Made in Saudi" program by the Saudi Exports Development Authority. Services provided by the Saudi EXIM Bank were also highlighted during the meeting, showcasing the potential for collaboration and economic growth between the two nations.
