Riyadh, March 29, 2024, Manga Arabia, a subsidiary of the Saudi Research and Media Group, received accolades from the Japanese Patent Office for its involvement in a digital awareness campaign targeting electronic piracy and the protection of intellectual property (IP).
The initiative, spearheaded by the patent office in collaboration with the International Intellectual Property Protection Forum (IIPPF), overseen by the Japanese External Trade Organization (JETRO), aimed to raise consciousness about the importance of safeguarding IP rights in the digital landscape.
As a key participant in the campaign, Manga Arabia translated visual content into Arabic and disseminated it across its digital platforms. With a notable online presence in the Middle East, boasting over 1.2 billion engagements across various digital channels and more than 7.5 million application downloads spanning 190 countries, Manga Arabia emerged as a significant influencer in reaching and educating young audiences.
Issam Bukhari, Manga Arabia's editor-in-chief, underscored the company's steadfast commitment to supporting anti-piracy initiatives and advocating for the principles of intellectual property. He emphasized Manga Arabia's overarching objective of establishing a secure and trustworthy ecosystem for its products, aiming to foster creativity and empowerment among audiences across the Arab world.
