Riyadh, February 23, 2025 – The fourth edition of the Saudi Media Forum, held from February 19 to 21 under the theme "Media in an Evolving World," concluded successfully with a star-studded closing ceremony, where the winners of the forum's prestigious awards across 14 media and communications categories were announced. The ceremony, attended by Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary and a number of distinguished dignitaries, marked the culmination of the largest and most influential specialized media gathering in the Middle East.

This year’s forum attracted an impressive 80,000 local and international visitors, reaffirming its status as a key event for professionals in the media sector. It offered a robust program, featuring more than 80 dialogue sessions and 30 specialized workshops. The event provided a comprehensive platform for discussing the rapid transformations occurring within the media industry, with a particular focus on new technologies, digital platforms, and the evolving role of media in shaping modern society. The forum encouraged strong participation, drawing experts and thought leaders from across the globe who shared insights on the future of media, digital innovations, and the role of media in global diplomacy.

In addition to the stimulating dialogues and thought-provoking sessions, the forum also created numerous strategic opportunities for local businesses to connect with international counterparts. These interactions led to the formation of valuable partnerships that addressed the challenges and opportunities arising from the ever-changing media landscape. The event also featured five initiatives aimed at developing national media talent, nurturing the next generation of media professionals in Saudi Arabia, and six interactive experiences that allowed attendees to engage with cutting-edge media technologies.

An integral part of the forum was the Future of Media Exhibition (FOMEX), which showcased the latest advancements in media technology, innovation, and digital content. FOMEX attracted over 250 local and international companies, demonstrating the growing importance of Saudi Arabia as a global hub for media innovation. The exhibition offered attendees an opportunity to explore emerging trends in broadcasting, digital platforms, and new media technologies, highlighting the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to support the development of a diverse and sustainable media ecosystem.

In line with its goals to contribute to the national economy and support Vision 2030, the forum also facilitated the signing of 16 strategic memoranda of understanding (MOUs) between government agencies and private sector entities. These agreements focused on key areas such as broadcasting, media training, and enhancing national competencies in tourism and sports storytelling. These collaborations are expected to strengthen the media landscape in Saudi Arabia and help position the Kingdom as a global leader in content creation, storytelling, and media production.

Over the course of three days, the forum provided a platform for attendees to explore both local and international media experiences, offering valuable insights into how new media can be harnessed for strategic objectives. Discussions centered on the potential of soft power in the modern world, emphasizing how media can shape perceptions, influence audiences, and drive diplomatic efforts on the global stage. With its forward-thinking approach, the Saudi Media Forum not only highlighted the significant transformations within the media industry but also laid the groundwork for Saudi Arabia’s role in leading media innovation in the years to come.

The success of the forum underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to fostering a vibrant media sector, developing national talent, and positioning itself as a center of excellence for media, culture, and innovation in the Middle East and beyond. The fourth Saudi Media Forum has undoubtedly set the stage for future collaborations, driving the Kingdom’s media landscape toward new horizons in line with its ambitious Vision 2030 objectives.
