Riyadh, December 30, 2024 – The Saudi Media Forum, in collaboration with the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA), has officially launched the Saudi Media Innovation Bootcamp (SAUDI MIB), a pioneering initiative aimed at revolutionizing the Kingdom's media sector. This bootcamp is part of a larger initiative focused on establishing business incubators and accelerators, which will be unveiled at the upcoming Saudi Media Forum. The project represents a significant step in strengthening Saudi Arabia's position as a leader in the modern media landscape.

SAUDI MIB is designed to elevate the Saudi media industry through the adoption of cutting-edge technological solutions, including the integration of artificial intelligence (AI). By fostering innovation and creativity, the bootcamp seeks to empower local talent, showcase Saudi Arabia’s rich cultural identity, and forge stronger partnerships between the media and technology sectors. These efforts aim to transform creative ideas into impactful projects, thereby enhancing the Kingdom’s influence both regionally and globally.

Mohammed Al-Harthi, CEO of the Saudi Broadcasting Authority, emphasized the importance of this initiative in aligning with the Kingdom’s broader digital transformation goals. “This bootcamp reflects Saudi Arabia's strong focus on adopting digital transformation across all development fields, recognizing it as a fundamental driver of societal welfare,” Al-Harthi stated. He highlighted the critical role of AI in the media, stressing the importance of investing in the capabilities of ambitious Saudi youth as key contributors to shaping the future of the nation’s media industry.

The bootcamp is also closely aligned with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to empower national talent and build a sustainable, future-ready media industry.
