Saudi Minister Engages in Strategic Discussions on Innovation and Research in the U.S.

Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha, the Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Space Commission, held crucial meetings in the United States to fortify partnerships and support innovative scientists. During discussions with the Director of the U.S. National Science Foundation, the focus was on empowering researchers in priority fields.

In his visit to the U.S., Eng. Al-Swaha also met with the Director of the National Institute of Health to explore research projects in the health sector and promote innovative solutions. The goal is to address global health challenges in alignment with the Kingdom's national priorities for research, development, and innovation.

These meetings occur as Saudi Arabia intensifies efforts to invest in capacity building, research, and innovation, aiming for a transformation into an innovation-driven economy. The engagements underscore the Kingdom's commitment to fostering international collaborations for scientific advancements and solutions.
