Saudi Minister of Industry met with Chinese company officials in Beijing

Beijing - In a significant diplomatic move, the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Ibrahim Alkhorayef, representing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, recently embarked on a series of crucial meetings with high-ranking officials from prominent Chinese companies. These meetings took place in the bustling Chinese capital, Beijing. In a notable display of high-level participation, the Chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY), Eng. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Salem, and the Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Affairs, Eng. Khalid bin Saleh Al-Mudaifer, were present at the meetings.

In a series of high-profile meetings, Alkhorayef, a prominent figure in the business world, engaged in discussions with key industry leaders. Among the notable individuals he met were the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the China North Industries Group Corporation (NORINCO), the Chairman of Sany Group Limited, the Chairman and CEO of China National Chemical Corporation (ChemChina), the Chairman of Yutong Group, and the President of Sinochem Corporation. These encounters held significant implications for the future of various sectors and highlighted the growing importance of collaboration between international powerhouses.

During the discussions, the focus was on exploring potential investment prospects within the industrial and mining sectors, as well as devising strategies to attract high-quality investments to the Kingdom. During the meeting, the ministry's plans for the advancement of the industrial and mining sectors were thoroughly examined. The officials also delved into the potential opportunities that exist across various activities within these sectors. Furthermore, discussions revolved around fostering collaboration with Chinese companies in specific targeted sectors, aiming to enhance bilateral cooperation.

The primary objective is to bolster trade relations between the two nations. During the commencement of his visit to Beijing, Alkhorayef engaged in productive discussions with numerous government officials. Subsequently, he proceeded to his next destination, Yinchuan, China, where he assumed the responsibility of leading the Kingdom's delegation at the esteemed 6th China-Arab States Expo. This highly anticipated event is scheduled to unfold from September 21 to 24, showcasing the collaborative efforts between China and Arab nations.
