Montevideo, Aug 04, 2023, SPA -- Saudi Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid Al-Falih, on an official visit to Latin America, met on Thursday with a number of officials from the Republic of Uruguay.
During a meeting with Uruguay’s Foreign Minister Francisco Bustillo, Al-Falih discussed the friendly relations between the Kingdom and Uruguay and means to enhance them in various fields.
Al-Falih also met with Uruguay's Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining, Omar Paganini, with whom he discussed areas of joint cooperation and investment.
He also met with Uruguayan Minister of Livestock, Agriculture, and Fisheries Fernando Mattos to discuss joint cooperations.
Al-Falih also discussed bilateral cooperation and other topics of mutual concern with Minister of Economy and Finance Azucena Arbeleche.
The Saudi minister of investment and his accompanying delegation will visit other Latin American countries, where they will be holding several meetings with representatives of companies to explore areas of joint investment and economic ventures.
The visit aims at enhancing investment cooperation and strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia and the Latin American countries.
