Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh met with Egyptian Minister of Endowments Dr. Osama Al-Azhari in Cairo to discuss enhancing cooperation in Islamic work.
The meeting marks the beginning of Dr. Al Al-Sheikh’s visit to Egypt, where he leads the Saudi delegation at the 35th International Conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
The conference, held under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, features over 100 participants from more than 60 countries and focuses on promoting tolerance and balanced discourse in Islamic affairs.
Cairo, August 25, 2024 — In a significant diplomatic engagement, Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh met with the Egyptian Minister of Endowments, Dr. Osama Al-Azhari, today in Cairo. This meeting, which was also attended by Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Saleh bin Eid Al-Husseini, marks the commencement of Dr. Al Al-Sheikh’s visit to Egypt. He is leading the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's delegation at the 35th International Conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.
The discussions between the two ministers were centered around enhancing bilateral cooperation across various domains to advance Islamic work. Both leaders shared insights and strategies aimed at promoting mutual objectives in the realm of Islamic affairs.
