Djibouti, November 20, 2023, Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, led a delegation from the government and private sectors to visit Doraleh Port in the Republic of Djibouti. The delegation, including representatives from Saudi Arabia, aimed to inspect transportation and logistics projects, fostering collaboration between the two nations.
She was accompanied by the Saudi Ambassador to Djibouti, Faisal bin Sultan Al-Qabbani, Eng. Al-Jasser received briefings on the infrastructure and maritime operational capabilities of Doraleh Port. The visit also included an exploration of Damerjog Port, updates on its operations, and insights into the adjacent free industrial zone.
The delegation further visited the Djibouti International Free Trade Zone (DIFTZ), where a comprehensive presentation highlighted the region's potential and the promising investment opportunities it offers.
This visit took place ahead of the fifth session of the Saudi-Djibouti Joint Committee, scheduled to commence on Monday. The committee's primary objectives include boosting economic and trade exchange between Saudi Arabia and Djibouti and exploring avenues for collaboration in various sectors. Eng. Al-Jasser's visit underscores the commitment to strengthening economic ties and exploring mutual opportunities for growth and cooperation.
