Niamey, March 23, 2024, The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, in collaboration with the Saudi Embassy in the Republic of Niger, has launched two gift programs on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. These programs aim to distribute dates and Iftar meals to Muslims in the Republic of Niger during Ramadan.

The Ramadan Iftar Program intends to establish communal iftar gatherings in mosques and Islamic centers, benefiting a large number of Muslims in Niger. Recent humanitarian efforts from the Kingdom have resulted in the delivery of 65 tons of dates and 17,645 food baskets to the region. These initiatives are part of the ongoing support provided by Saudi Arabia to Niger.

The Kingdom's support extends beyond food assistance and includes contributions to development projects in Niger. Specifically, Saudi Arabia has drilled approximately 300 wells and constructed and equipped seven maternal and child health centers across seven regions in Niger, focusing on improving water access and healthcare services.

These programs not only reinforce the bond of brotherhood and solidarity between Saudi Arabia and Niger but also reflect the spirit of Islamic solidarity among Muslims globally. Such initiatives contribute significantly to fostering stronger ties and cooperation between the two countries and their people.
