Riyadh, October 09, 2023, The Saudi Ministry of Culture has unveiled the "Cultural Hub" online platform, providing a comprehensive database of Saudi cultural heritage, institutions, and achievements. This platform, accessible at https://culturalhub.moc.gov.sa/, encourages community participation in documenting and sharing cultural information.
The "Cultural Hub" showcases cultural assets, complete with images, descriptions, and locations. It offers an interactive map to explore historical and cultural sites and access a cultural registry featuring theatres, libraries, and museums. Additionally, users can explore digital collections of cultural artifacts, manuscripts, rock art, inscriptions, and more, while also contributing their cultural assets to the platform.
This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Culture's efforts to centralize Saudi cultural resources and support the development of the cultural sector. The platform's goals include promoting culture as an integral part of society, increasing its contribution to the national economy, and elevating Saudi Arabia's international cultural prominence, all in line with the National Strategy for Culture.
