Saudi Monsha'at signs MoC with Jordan's JEDCO for cooperation

Riyadh, February 06, 2024, Today, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority "Monsha'at," forged a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) with the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. This significant agreement, signed in the presence of Monsha'at Governor Sami Ibrahim Alhussaini and JEDCO CEO Abdel Fattah Al-Kayed on the sidelines of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) Private Sector Forum, is poised to bolster economic, commercial, and investment collaboration within the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector.

At its core, the MoC aims to facilitate an exchange of expertise between the two entities, thereby enhancing the institutional infrastructure and bolstering SMEs in both countries. This collaboration is instrumental in fostering technical and innovative cooperation, pivotal for enhancing productivity and bolstering competitiveness within the SME sector. Moreover, the MoC supports the exchange of promotional activities to spotlight available opportunities for small and medium enterprises, while also fostering the development of models, policies, and strategies for entrepreneurship development between Saudi Arabia and Jordan.

Through this partnership with JEDCO, Monsha'at aspires to elevate cooperation to unprecedented levels across various sectors. By extending crucial support to entrepreneurs and SME owners, Monsha'at is poised to play a pivotal role in realizing the ambitious objectives outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.
