Riyadh, February 06, 2024, Today, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority "Monsha'at," forged a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) with the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO) of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. This significant agreement, signed in the presence of Monsha'at Governor Sami Ibrahim Alhussaini and JEDCO CEO Abdel Fattah Al-Kayed on the sidelines of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) Private Sector Forum, is poised to bolster economic, commercial, and investment collaboration within the small and medium enterprise (SME) sector.
At its core, the MoC aims to facilitate an exchange of expertise between the two entities, thereby enhancing the institutional infrastructure and bolstering SMEs in both countries. Additionally, the agreement seeks to orchestrate business visits to nurture trade relations among SMEs and to organize tailored training programs.
This collaboration is instrumental in fostering technical and innovative cooperation, pivotal for enhancing productivity and bolstering competitiveness within the SME sector. Moreover, the MoC supports the exchange of promotional activities to spotlight available opportunities for small and medium enterprises, while also fostering the development of models, policies, and strategies for entrepreneurship development between Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
