Saudi National Football Team Prepares for Match with Japan

A closed training session will take place today at King Abdullah Sports City to finalize match preparations.
The Saudi national team is intensifying preparations for their October 10 match against Japan in World Cup 2026 qualifiers.

In Jeddah, on October 8, 2024, the Saudi national football team ramped up its preparations ahead of a crucial match against Japan in the third round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The highly anticipated match, scheduled to take place on October 10, will be a key test for the Saudi team as they seek to strengthen their position in the qualification standings.

Under the guidance of head coach Roberto Mancini, the team conducted an intensive training session on Monday at the King Abdullah Sports City stadium. The training was focused on tactical drills, physical conditioning, and refining game strategies to counter Japan's formidable playing style. Mancini, who took over the national team earlier this year, has been working diligently to fine-tune the squad’s performance, with the ultimate goal of securing a place in the World Cup.

Today, the team is scheduled to hold a closed training session at 6:00 pm at the same venue, providing the players and coaching staff a focused environment to finalize their preparations without outside distractions. This additional session is expected to concentrate on match-specific strategies, ensuring the players are in peak condition both physically and mentally ahead of the decisive fixture.
