Saudi Permanent Representative to OIC Meets with Malaysia's Ambassador

They reviewed recent developments and OIC efforts to promote stability, prosperity, and peace in the Islamic world.
Saudi Arabia and Malaysia discussed enhancing cooperation within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) during a meeting between their permanent representatives.

On October 17, 2024, Dr. Saleh bin Hamad Al-Suhaibani, the Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held an important meeting with Datuk Wan Zaidi Wan Abdullah, Malaysia's Ambassador to the Kingdom and Permanent Representative to the OIC. The meeting took place at the Malaysian Embassy in Riyadh, where both representatives engaged in constructive discussions aimed at enhancing multilateral relations between their countries within the framework of the OIC.


During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening collaborative efforts and coordinating their work to advance the objectives of the OIC. This included exploring new avenues for improving cooperation between the two nations, particularly through their permanent representations, to bolster the OIC's mission. The discussions touched on various aspects of joint Islamic work, focusing on reinforcing the organization's broader goals, which include fostering prosperity, stability, and peace across the Islamic world.


A key point of the conversation centered around enhancing Islamic solidarity and unity in the face of shared challenges, as well as improving coordination on issues of mutual concern. The two representatives also reviewed recent developments within the OIC and discussed the organization’s ongoing efforts to address these challenges at both regional and international levels. Their talks underscored a shared commitment to advancing the common interests of the Islamic world.
