Saudi Post (SPL) has issued a SAR 3 commemorative stamp and SAR 5 postcard for the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve, celebrating its ecological and geographical significance.

Riyadh, October 18, 2024 – The Saudi Post (SPL) has released a special commemorative stamp and postcard in honor of the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority. The commemorative SAR 3 stamp and SAR 5 postcard celebrate the vast and ecologically diverse King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve, the largest protected area in Saudi Arabia. This initiative is part of Saudi Post’s ongoing efforts to commemorate key national milestones and entities through philatelic releases.

Covering an impressive 130,700 square kilometers, the King Salman Royal Reserve stands out for its exceptional geographical and biological diversity, making it a natural gem not only within Saudi Arabia but on a global scale. The reserve stretches across four major administrative regions: Al-Jouf, Hail, Tabuk, and the Northern Borders, and includes notable protected natural areas such as Al-Khunfah, Al-Tubaiq, and Harrat Al-Harrah. Each of these areas is known for its distinct natural beauty, wildlife, and unique landscapes, which together make the reserve an invaluable environmental asset.

Saudi Post regularly issues stamps that highlight important national and international events, making their releases highly collectible and valuable to philatelists and historians alike. This commemorative release not only celebrates the King Salman Royal Reserve but also serves to raise awareness of the critical importance of conservation and biodiversity within Saudi Arabia.

By capturing such monumental national landmarks, Saudi Post continues to play a significant role in preserving the cultural and environmental heritage of the Kingdom through its philatelic contributions, offering enthusiasts a tangible connection to the country's rich natural and cultural history.
