Marib, September 26, 2024, The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction for Yemen (SDRPY) has launched a package of development projects in Marib Governorate. These projects include establishing a college of medicine, a girls' educational complex, and a project for enhancing water resources.
The launch ceremony was overseen by Marib's governor and Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Maj. General Sultan Al-Arada and Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak.
The projects aim to improve education, create a conducive learning environment for students, and enhance water resources in the region. They align with the program's broader goals of supporting education, healthcare, and infrastructure development in Yemen.
In addition to these new projects, the Saudi program has already implemented various initiatives in Marib, including road infrastructure improvements, healthcare enhancements, educational support, and water resource development. These efforts are part of the program's commitment to providing sustainable development across eight key sectors in Yemen.
SPDRY's comprehensive approach, focused on eight key sectors – education, health, water, energy, transportation, agriculture and fisheries, government capacity building, and development programs across Yemen has resulted in sustainable development projects and initiatives that are transforming lives and communities.
