
RIYADH, April 2, 2025: Saudi Arabia launched its pavilion at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, held from March 31 to April 3 at the BolognaFiere Exhibition Center in Bologna, Italy.
Abdullatif Al-Wasel, CEO of the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission, stated that the Kingdom’s participation is aimed at showcasing various programs, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.
He added that these initiatives focus on advancing the publishing industry, encouraging cultural exchange, supporting Saudi publishers and literary agents globally, and promoting the Kingdom's rich intellectual heritage and literary contributions.
Al-Wasel emphasized that the fair offers an excellent opportunity for Saudi publishers to network and exchange ideas with international peers.
Saudi entities such as the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, King Abdulaziz Public Library, King Fahd National Library, and the Publishing Association are also part of the pavilion.
The King Salman academy is displaying its efforts to boost the global presence of the Arabic language and promote Arabic content in cultural and academic sectors, showcasing its latest publications and contributions to linguistic and knowledge-based content, as well as its projects in language planning, policy, computational linguistics, education, and cultural initiatives.
