Saudi Roads Ready for Any Load, RGA Says

Abida Ahmad
Saudi Arabia's road network ranks first globally in connectivity, reinforcing the Kingdom’s position as a global logistics hub under Vision 2030.
Saudi Arabia’s roads are fully equipped to handle all loads, with special permits available for transporting indivisible, oversized goods.

Riyadh, September 13, 2024 – The Roads General Authority (RGA) affirmed that Saudi Arabia's road infrastructure is fully equipped to accommodate all types of loads, regardless of weight or dimensions. While there are specific standards for dimensions and weights outlined in Article 23, the RGA clarified that indivisible loads can still be transported by securing special permits through its website.

These exceptional load permits facilitate the transport of vital goods, benefiting sectors like tourism, commerce, and logistics. The RGA highlighted Saudi Arabia's expansive road network, which has achieved global recognition by ranking first in connectivity, further establishing the Kingdom as a key player in global logistics. This advancement supports Saudi Vision 2030 and the nation's comprehensive development goals.
