Saudi rower Haya Al-Mami has advanced to the semi-finals in the W1x category at the Asian Games 2023

HANGZHOU In a remarkable display of skill and determination, Saudi Arabia's very own Haya Al-Mami has solidified her position in the highly anticipated semifinals of the women's single scull (W1X) event at the prestigious Asian Games 2023, held in the vibrant city of Hangzhou.

The highly anticipated semifinals of the rowing competition are scheduled to unfold this Friday at the prestigious Fuwaong Water Sports Lake. In a stunning display of skill and determination, she has secured a notable accomplishment. Following her impressive performance in the repechage round, held just last Thursday, she clinched the third spot. Crossing the finish line in a remarkable time of 9 minutes and 24.60 seconds, she solidified her position among the top contenders.


In the highly competitive LM2x category, the dynamic pair of Turki Al-Aarif and Sultan Al-Shali have made an impressive advancement to the Group B competitions. Their remarkable performance in the repechage round secured them a well-deserved fifth place, with a commendable time of 7 minutes and 28.44 seconds.


In a thrilling turn of events, it has been confirmed that Rakan Ali Reda, a member of the team, will be participating in Group C of the highly anticipated M1x category. This comes after an impressive performance in the repechage round, where Reda secured a commendable sixth-place finish. Clocking in at an impressive time of 8 minutes and 9.80 seconds, Reda has undoubtedly earned his spot in the upcoming competition. With the stage set and anticipation building, all eyes will be on Reda as he prepares to showcase his skills and determination in the M1x category.
