Tirana, November 10, 2023, The Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance initiated the “Jusoor” (Bridges) Exhibition in Tirana, Albania’s Skanderbeg Square, aiming to showcase Saudi culture and traditions. This exhibition, organized by the ministry's exhibitions’ general secretariat in collaboration with the Religious Attaché's Office at the Saudi Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, will run for 16 days.
Coinciding with the launch of the final qualifiers for the Holy Quran competition for boys and girls in the Balkans, the exhibition was lauded by Saudi Ambassador Faisal bin Ghazi Hifzi as a means to foster communication and understanding between Saudi Arabia and Albania. Highlighting the Quran's emphasis on humanitarian values and Saudi efforts in supporting Islam and just causes, the ambassador underscored the Kingdom's commitment to serving the Quran and the Sunnah.
The Grand Mufti of Albania, Bujar Spahiu, commended the exhibition for showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Saudi Arabia, particularly its dedication to the Quran’s preservation and dissemination. Deputy Mayor Andi Seferi emphasized how the exhibition serves to enrich relations between the two countries by familiarizing the Albanian people with Saudi culture and traditions.
The exhibition encompasses various aspects, including the King Fahd Glorious Qur’an Printing Complex, the King Abdulaziz International Holy Quran Competition, the program for distributing premium dates worldwide, the display of Saudi coffee and its cultural significance, and the presentation of Arabic calligraphy by calligraphers. Moreover, it showcases historical scientific manuscripts from the Makkah Al Mukarramah Library, highlights Saudi Arabia's global humanitarian efforts, and features architectural designs inspired by the kingdom’s historical styles.
